Civil War School Days

Event Description

This program is designed for public, private and homeshool groups to come and learn about both the military and civilian aspects of the war from costumed living historians.  This program occurs on April 9th, 10th and 11th. There will be stations set up in the historic area for students and adults alike to meet and listen to these historians teach about their particular subject.  There will be approximately 15 to 18 different stations set up in the historic area of the property and students will learn about such things as medicine, flags & uniforms, colored troops, home front tasks and more.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.  Please contact the staff Tuesday through Saturday to register your group.  Spaces are limited and fill up fast.  There are 2 time slots to choose from - The morning slot is 10:00 to 12:00 and the afternoon slot is: 1:00 to 3:00.  For more information, you can contact the staff at 919-383-4345.
