The Defense of Fort Dobbs Virtual Living History

Event Description

On February 27th, 1760, a large party of Cherokee warriors engaged the garrison of Fort Dobbs in a nighttime battle that left three soldiers and settlers and up to twelve Cherokee dead or wounded.
On February 27th, 2021 Fort Dobbs State Historic Site will hold a virtual living history program commemorating the one battle to occur here.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, this will be an online-only VIRTUAL event.
Videos will be posted on the site's Facebook event page throughout the day following the schedule posted in the comments.

Be sure to tune in to learn about the fort and its role in the Anglo-Cherokee War, as well as the lives of the soldiers and American Indians involved in the battle here 261 years ago.
