Spring Home School Day at Stagville

Event Description

Save the date for our popular home school day!

Historic Stagville invites all local home school students to a day of hands-on activities for all ages! Students will learn about historic crafts and trades, and daily life on one of North Carolina's largest plantations. Students will get to participate in the educational activities, not just watch. Plus, all of our historic structures will be open to tour all day. Students will learn about the history of slavery in North Carolina, about the African American experience in slavery, the lives and cultures of enslaved people, and the work and trades on an antebellum plantation.

Activities run all throughout the day, but we recommend you arrive by 2 p.m. to experience ALL possible activities.

Admission is $4 per student, payable by cash or check only at the door.

Call us at 919-620-0120 for more information. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty, and sturdy walking shoes to get around our large site.
