Virtual Field Trips

A girl dressed in costume playing hoops in front of a historic house

We are now offering a virtual field trip, A Day in the Life of a Colonial Kid! Our virtual field trip is a fun way to learn more about a kid's life in the 18th century, and can be used in the home or the classroom. Activites provided can be done solo or in a group, and use materials that are commonly found at home. To access this content, please download the zip file below. If you need assistance, please contact us at bath@ncdcr.gov.

Our downloadable packet contains:

  • Links to YouTube videos of costumed interpreters demonstrating historic activities
  • Pre- and post-watch content for educators that provide context and engagement
  • Follow-up activities: games, crafts, and coloring pages
  • Access this content in the file below!

The content is suitable for children of all ages, but is created with 4th graders in mind. While we offer this content free of charge, donations are appreciated and help us support the education and preservation of North Carolina history by directly benefiting Historic Bath State Historic Site. More information on how to donate will be upcoming.

Thank you for your support!
