Volunteer greeting guests at Roanoke Island Festival Park

We Need You!

Roanoke Island Festival Park is seeking motivated and energetic volunteers to be costumed interpreters, greeters at special programs, gift shop associates, and members of the Elizabeth II Volunteer Crew. Volunteers in the Education Department will learn how to blend history with fun to help daily visitors and school groups explore Roanoke Island Festival Park.

Interested volunteers should fill out an application and return it to Roanoke Island Festival Park by fax (252.475.1500), mail (One Festival Park, Manteo, NC 27954), or by dropping it off at the Roanoke Island Festival Park Ticket Sales Desk or Administrative Office to be distributed to the correct department.

Volunteers in the Education Department will report to Anna Davis, Manager of Education and Interpretation, and will learn how to blend history with fun to help daily visitors and school groups explore Roanoke Island Festival Park. Education Department volunteers must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, be able to work outside, and commit to volunteering at least six hours per month, working at least two hours per scheduled day between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to help with lunch relief.
