Join us for a discussion about Frederick Douglass, his interactions with President Polk, and the often conflicting viewpoints the two leaders shared. Presented by DeAsia Noble, Site Manager of the Thomas Day State Historic Site. 

Join us Saturday, December 14th in the Polk kitchen house as Susie crafts a holiday menu over the open hearth. She will be demonstrating how to prepare boiled Irish ham, stewed squash, buttered torte, and colcannon. Not sure what colcannon is? Come out and explore this unique dish.
