Our current digital field trip for elementary, middle, and high school levels focuses on the July 29, 1781 skirmish between Philip Alston and David Fanning.  Students will learn about the events that took place at The House in the Horseshoe, think creatively and critically, and apply these skills to come to their own conclusions about what they think it would have been like to live through the battle.  All digital lesson plans and field trips fall in line with North Carolina's educational standards and are developmentally appropriate for each grade level.  Choose the PDF applicable to your classroom from the list down below and get started!
