Now hear this! Shoulder that musket and enroll in the School of the Soldier, a family-friendly Junior Reserves activity that teaches kids about being a Civil War infantry soldier. Under the supervision of the event organizers, kids safely learn about Civil War uniforms, weapons and equipment, as well as drill procedures and camp life. The program includes musket demonstrations, and all ages are welcome. Program components subject to change. In the event of rain or a heat advisory, an indoor kid's activity will be substituted in the exhibit hall or theater.
