Fort Fisher Junior Reserves--Signal Flags

-
Fort Fisher State Historic Site, 1610 Fort Fisher Blvd. South, Kure Beach, NC 28449

Ever wonder how soldiers on land communicated with people on ships? Long before telegraphs, radios, and phones were common, signal flags were used to send visual messages. Join us for a family-friendly Junior Reserves activity at which kids of all ages learn the wig-wag alphabet and try their hand at sending messages by waving signal flags in certain patterns. Program components subject to change.
