Living History: Fort Fisher June of 1862


Fort Fisher June of 1862, a living history program, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10 am- 4pm. The program will feature reenactors, artillery firings, displays, and lectures, as well as commemorate the history and grounding of the blockade runner Modern Greece. The site's support group, the Friends of Fort Fisher, will launch a special capital campaign to fund restoration of the site's earthworks. The program is free and open to the pubic. Donations are appreciated. Join us as we recognize the fort's important history and show support for its future.
