Olde Time Farm Festival CANCELLED

Enjoy some family fun as we celebrate the fall harvest that families in the 19th century would have done.  A time to gather with friends to show off the bounty of the land, compete for the best pie and discuss livestock.  Fall is a wonderful time of the year as we gather and prepare for the winter.  Enjoy a slice of pumpkin pie, bring your pumpkin to chunk or smash. Think you can throw an iron?  Come out and give it a try. We will also add lectures on the influence of the African Americans on America's plates with historian Earl Ijames.  An interesting look into how foods brought to America by those who be enslaved, helped create new foods that we get to enjoy all year long.  In addition, there will be activities for children with a 3-legged race, sack race, and egg toss game.  You don't have to be a kid to enjoy these as we welcome the young at heart to enjoy as well.  We'll have some food for you to enjoy from a pulled pork sandwich to other foods.  You can also do some Christmas shopping and meet some farm animals.
