Fort Fisher Space Rentals

Let Fort Fisher State Historic Site host your wedding or other event among the gnarled live oaks and scenic views of the Cape Fear River or the Atlantic Ocean. Each year, the site makes history for dozens of couples wanting a uniquely waterfront wedding experience. Choose from two locations: the Ocean Grove facing the Atlantic, or the spectacular Fort Grove, surrounded by the river.

Many couples choose Ocean Grove for its unsurpassed view of the Atlantic Ocean and convenient parking, while others seek to make more secluded memories at Fort Grove, located near the walls of the fort. Fort Grove offers stunning views of the Cape Fear River where sunset photos will make historic memories to last for a lifetime.

Getting married at any of our locations requires a Facility Use Agreement which allows a three-hour block of time between 9 am and 7 pm for your ceremony and photos. This time block does not include delivery and pickup of chairs, benches, or arbors from a rental company. If you desire additional time for your ceremony, an hourly rate is available. There are no lights on the property, so for safety and security reasons, we only offer Facility Use Agreements for ceremonies, not receptions.
