Fort Fisher Space Rentals

Let Fort Fisher State Historic Site host your wedding or other event among the majestic oaks and scenic views of the river or the ocean for a uniquely waterfront wedding experience. Choose from two locations: the Ocean Grove, or the spectacular Fort Grove. Many couples choose Ocean Grove for its unsurpassed view of the Atlantic Ocean and convenient parking. Others seek to make more secluded memories at Fort Grove where stunning views of the Cape Fear River and sunset photos will make historic memories to last a lifetime.

Getting married at any of our locations requires a Facility Use Agreement which allows a three-hour block of time for your ceremony and photos. This time block does not include delivery and pickup of chairs, benches, or arbors from a rental company. If you desire additional time for your ceremony, an hourly rate is available. There are no lights on the property, so for safety and security reasons, we only offer Facility Use Agreements for ceremonies between 9 am and 7 pm.

Your reception can be held in our Activity Hall which holds a maximum of 160 people in a 2600 square foot space overlooking the grounds of Fort Fisher and the beach. We offer six-foot round tables that can easily seat 10 people each, a catering kitchen, padded folding chairs, and eight-foot and six-foot banquet tables for buffets, gifts, a memory table, or cake. If you need linens, stages, risers, arbors, arches, or a dance floor, we can make recommendations on vendors for those items.  

The balcony adjacent to the Activity Hall provides stunning views of the Fort Fisher site, extra space for tables and chairs, and a wonderful space for cocktails after your ceremony. At 1426 square feet, you can easily host your guests in this space before or during your wedding reception.
