In the 1750s and 1760s, two of Bath’s taverns were women owned. These women successfully asserted themselves in the public sphere in a time when status was defined by property ownership.

On December 16th from 10am-4pm, Bennett Place will holding our annual Christmas in the Piedmont during the Civil War event. Witness how Soldiers and Civilians try to keep there spirits up during four years of war. On going living history will be happening around the farm, Also Santa will be in the Parlor of the Bennett house to meet and greet visitors, and you can tell him what you want for Christmas.
