On Saturday, May 18th Alamance Battleground will host a reenactment of the 1771 Battle of Alamance. Visitors will experience the smoke and power of six cannons firing against protesting farmers in the violent conclusion to the Regulator movement. Visitors will also learn about the Regulators; North Carolina farmers protesting corrupt government and learn about the forces under the command of Governor Tryon sent to suppress them. The site will open at 9:00 and close at 5:00. Admission is $5 Adults and $2 Children/Seniors.
