Fruit Tree Sale

September 13, 2025 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The 2025 Fall fruit tree sale starts on September 13th at 9:00 a.m. Jason Bowen, the site's horticulturist, will be onsite to provide information about the varieties. Below are links to rootstock information. The sale will continue during the site's operating hours until the trees are sold out. The sale will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. each day, Tuesday – Saturday.   A huge number of varieties, grafted from the heirloom trees in the Southern Heritage Apple Orchard, will be available to purchase.  

Fee per tree: $25.00, plus tax.  Please note: Trees are being sold for home use only, not commercial endeavors.

*We will not reserve any trees prior to the sale. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  Limit of 10 trees per family.

Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, check, or cash.  

Rootstock Information

This program is sponsored by the site’s non-profit, the North Carolina Living Historical Farm Committee, Inc. Money generated from the sale of the apple trees will support the upkeep of the Southern Heritage Apple Orchard, while the income from the sale of the peach trees will be used for the Hauser Orchard.
