Fort Fisher will commemorate its 158th anniversary with the program, 'With Artillery, War is Made,' Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10 am - 4 pm. Free and open to the public, this living history program will focus on the artillery at Fort Fisher during the American Civil War. At 10 am, 12 noon, 1:30 pm, and 3 pm, there will be demonstrations of the 32-pounder banded and rifled seacoast gun, the 12-pound Napoleon, and a 10-pound Parrott gun. Living history displays will be set up in the Fort Grove.
